Fast-Food Foodies Unite! (to reduce world hunger)

Yum! Brands is an American fast food company that operates KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and WingStreet. In 2013, the company published a corporate social responsibility (CSR) report highlighting the status of its various CSR initiatives. According to the company website, Yum! Brands chose to focus on 7 different CSR areas:

  1. Diversity Outreach Initiatives
  2. Health and Nutrition
  3. Supply Chain Innovation and Management
  4. Animal Welfare
  5. Environment (e.g., energy and water use, building design, waste and packaging)
  6. Hunger Relief
  7. Community Engagement and Volunteers

In 2007, Yum! Brands began one of its most successful CSR programs, the World Hunger Relief initiative. The company reported that by 2013, $185 million was raised, 740 million meals were provided, and 45 countries benefited from the initiative.
